    Getting started

    What do I need?
    • A phone with full internet access and streaming capabilities. Click here to see a list of phones we tested.
    • An internet subscription, preferably flat rate. Click here for a list of providers and subscriptions worldwide.
    • A windows-installed PC with an internet connection. Tested platforms are windows 2000 and XP. At this moment, Vista is not supported.

    Cost

    What will it cost me?
    • Wauw! is Free, however your mobile phone provider will charge for data traffic so you should use a cost effective mobile data subscription! We recommend using a flat rate subscription.

    Registration

    My phone is not listed.
    • There is an endless list of brands and types of mobile devices, we simply can't test them all. If your phone is not listed please choose "Other manufacturer/model" to let us know what you are using, and we might test it in the future.

    My email address is already taken.
    • You can only use an email address once to register. If you register twice with the same email address an email will be sent to you with your password and a link to download Wauw! Studio.

    My nickname is already taken.
    • Your nickname must be unique. Try variations on your chosen nickname to find one that's still free.

    My phone did not pass the sound test.
    • First of all please verify if we have tested your device to be compliant with Wauw!
    • If your phone is listed but you did not hear the song, please visit your providers website to check if your internet settings are correct.

    Installation

    During installation I receive a message warning me a virus has been detected!
    • For unknown reasons the virus scanner NOD32 detects our software as a possible virus. Right now the only way around this is by temporarily unchecking heuristic detection and advanced heuristic detection in NOD32 during installation. We have contacted NOD32 and hope to be on their white list soon.

    Connection

    I can't connect to Wauw!, on my phone I receive a message Wauw! is not active on my PC.
    • Please verify that your PC is on and Wauw! is active.
    • If Wauw! is running and you still can't connect please check if you have an active firewall. Temporarily shut it down to see if you can get a connection. If you can, please program your firewall to allow wauw.exe, 24play.exe and 24mp3.exe.

    My Radio

    Can I change my default radio station?
    • No, the default radio station is fixed.

    How do I add extra radio stations to my list?
    • Open the PC software and choose "My Radio". Use the search functions to display the genre and language you want to listen to, or type in a keyword to search for a specific station. You can add a maximum of five extra radio stations.

    My Photos

    The "My Photos" option points to the "My Pictures" folder on my PC but that's not where I keep my photos. How can I change this?
    • Open the PC software and choose "My Pictures". Browse to the folder you actually keep your photos in, then click OK. You may have to re-open Wauw! on your mobile phone for the change to take effect.
